If you would like to keep your domain name registered to a thrid party and cannot change name servers because of your email configuration, follow the below steps to direct your domain name to your new hosting space.
- Login to your cPanel and note the IP address.
- Then within cPanel go to Simple DNS Zone Editor and update the following
a. Ensure that the MX (mail) entries are unchanged,
b. Simply point the A record for the domain, and the 'www' subdomain to the IP address selected in step 1.
Note: It will take about 4-8 hours for the change to propagate, and email will remain unaffected.
