How to transfer a domain to Cian's Web Hosting

These are the prerequisites for transferring a domain name to Cian's Web Hosting:

  1. Domain theft protection also known as privacy services, need to be disabled.
  2. Ensure that your administrative email address in the domain registration record is accurate and up-to-date.
  3. Your domain needs to be unlocked.
  4. Acquire your domain's transfer authorization code (also referred to as an EPP or auth code) from the current registration service provider.

All these actions can all be completed through your existing registrar, either by contacting them directly or by logging in to your current domain administration account.

Start your transfer through Cian's Web Hosting

  1. Visit www.cianswebhosting.com and enter your domain name in the domain checker and click 'Transfer'.

  2. A step-by-step transfer process dialog will appear. Complete the steps up to Checkout and Payment.

  3. A confirmation email will then be sent to the domain Administrative Contact email address. Once the domain admin has confirmed the transfer an email will be sent to the current domain registrar instructing them to release the domain.

Note: Perform a WHOIS search to find out what email address is associated with the domain Administrative Contact.

  4. Once the domain registrar has released the domain, it may take between 24-48 hours for the domain to propagate to Cian's Web Hosting.
